Prospective Students
Hopkins Marine Station is part of the Doerr School of Sustainability, and is home to Biology and Oceans graduate students working toward their PhDs. Students train under the supervision of faculty from both departments, and conduct research in areas from molecular biology to whole-organism physiology to population biology, ecology and conservation. If accepted into either graduate program, you will interact most intensively with your principal investigator and these advisor and members of your laboratory. As each of our labs has its own perspective on science and approach to research, we strongly recommend you contact individual faculty regarding their recruitment needs and how your experience may be a match for their respective lab; they will also advise you on which department is more appropriate for your application.
